Welcome!

  One Breath at a Time's place on the web . . .

Our web site is designed as a one-stop resource for those who have been advised they require a lung transplant,  for patients living away who may be contemplating a trip to Tampa to begin the transplant process and for those who simply want to learn more about this life-saving medical intervention.

We invite you to browse our site, to enjoy our slide presentations on page four of the "About Tampa, FL" menu link, to keep up with events on our special "Event Photographs" page and to visit our site often for updates.  We will be continually adding new features to broaden the scope of our site to keep you as well informed as possible.

Below is a digest of our mission and goals.  If you believe in what we’re doing, we’d love to have you as a volunteer (you can do so by visiting our “To Volunteer” menu page) and you may consider a tax deductible contribution to help us attain our goals by clicking on "Contribute Online."

Mission

To help establish support systems for lung transplant recipients and their families throughout the transplant process and to promote importance of organ donation.

Immediate Goal

To construct a Tampa Bay Lung Transplant Home with multiple small apartments to assist with temporary living quarters for Tampa General Hospital's out of town and out of state patients and their families during initial evaluation, clinic visits, check ups, transplant episode & post operative care.

Ultimate Goal

To create a Tampa Bay Lung Transplant Clinic and Research Institute that provides quality patient care, participates in clinical research and facilitates basic science for the advancement of successful lung trans-plants.

Our Invitation

We urge your participation in helping One Breath At A Time, Inc. achieve these goals and in so doing celebrate life as a blessing with those who have been, as well as those who will be, blessed by the "Gift of Organ Donation."
