Accommodations

On these pages is information about, images of and links (where available) to some overnight accommodations within ten minutes of Tampa General Hospital. Several Ybor City (historic district located just northeast of the downtown area) locations are about 20 minutes from the hospital, depending on traffic. Over time, we will strive to acquire more hotels and motels for your consideration and seek those who may offer discounts to lung transplant patients and their families.

There are many great hotels all over Tampa, in the area of Tampa International Airport, along Dale Mabry Highway, near Busch Gardens and all points in between. You may want to do your own search dependent on your needs and desires. On these pages, we are restricting those featured to places that are a reasonably short distance from Tampa General.

If you need more assistance with accommodations, please let us know. Also, the Tampa General Hospital Lung Transplant coordinator has a list of special accommodations on Davis Island within walking distance of the hospital. These rooms are limited so if you want to be close, ask the transplant team about them well in advance.
